The North Carolina Women’s Summit: Women Moving Mountains is being held at The Collider in Downtown Asheville on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Join women leaders from across North Carolina to discuss policies as they relate to women around the state. This annual event, presented by Women AdvaNCe, aims to pool together the perspectives of all women in the Tar Heel State, so we can collectively shape the politics and policies of our state.
The Summit includes multiple main stage sessions, break out sessions, panel discussions, an Awards Ceremony and a curated Women AdvaNCe Ideas and Products Market for women-led businesses and organizations.
Topics we plan to cover in this Summit include
- Race Equity
- Living Wage/Affordable Housing Equal Rights Amendment: How Do We Get NC on Board?
- Midterm Postmortem – How Do We Move Forward with Female Leadership?
- Intersectionality – How do we get out of our silos and have inclusive and productive conversation with each other?
- #MeToo Movement
- Women as entrepreneurs
- Immigration
- Environmental issues
- Healthcare
We’ve reserved a limited number of discounted rooms at the Crowne Plaza in Asheville, which is less than two miles from the Collider. BOOK YOUR ROOMS EARLY! Rates in Asheville are high for that weekend.
